Beginning Readers (grades 1-2)
Who Should Attend?
Student Profile: Beginning Readers is a program for children who have been diagnosed with a Specific Learning Disability (SLD) in Reading or a Language-Based Learning Disability (LBLD), such as dyslexia. In some cases, there may not be a specific diagnosis but a child has been identified through early literacy screening as “at risk” for reading difficulties. Our academic approach is cognitive in nature so potential students need to be at least in the average range of intellectual ability. Summer@Carroll is not designed to meet the needs of students with primary emotional or behavioral difficulties.
Summer@Carroll 2015 is full at all grade levels. We are no longer accepting applications for this summer. Please look on-line next fall for details about Summer@Carroll 2016.
